Steve Chapman

Steve Chapman is Vice President of Weiss Capital Management, Inc., an investment advisory firm registered with the SEC, which specializes in managing the financial assets of high-net worth investors. He is also Vice President of Weiss Capital Securities, Inc., a FINRA-member broker/dealer.

As the portfolio manager of the Weiss Diversified Income Builder, Diversified Income Plus, Diversified Global Income and Growth, and the Weiss All-World Strategic Growth programs, Steve is responsible for the analysis and selection of domestic and international mutual funds, based on each program’s specific investment objective, actively monitoring them and making substitutions as he believes necessary.

Steve also works closely with Weiss Capital Management’s client-service team and financial advisors to provide an excellent standard of service to their clients. This means periodically reviewing clients’ portfolios to assure that their investments are consistent with their long-term financial goals and risk profile, as well as making any modifications as their needs change.

For more than three decades, including both bull and bear markets, Steve has traded billions of dollars in securities, while working at some of the most recognized and respected institutional and retail brokerage firms in the industry.

Steve’s philosophy on investing: “Over the years, the needs of investors have led to the innovation of many new products and services. However, in my opinion, there is no substitute for the fundamental principles of investing. They may be ignored, sometimes, but they always remain valid.

Steve holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 53, 63 and 65 securities licenses, as well as the Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. Steve has also been a featured speaker at numerous investment conferences and educational seminars around the country.

In his free time, Steve enjoys fishing, music and photography. Born in Washington D.C., he has spent most of his life living in South Florida and currently lives in Pompano Beach, FL with his wife, Libby.
